Power restored to paper mill, Ediz Hook

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles city public works crews restored power about 9 a.m. to the Nippon Paper Industries USA mill and Ediz Hook after a slide pushed trees into power lines along Marine Drive east of Hill Street about an hour before.

The slide also knocked out power to the Coast Guard’s Air Station/Sector Field Office Port Angeles, according to city Public Works Director Glen Cutler.
