PORT ANGELES — A greenhouse and nearby 18-wheel cargo trailer were destroyed by fire at a marijuana farm, Captain Hansons LLC, Clallam County Sgt. Randy Pieper said.

It was reported at about 2 p.m. Friday at 639 John Jacobs Road. Firefighters from Clallam County District 3 responded.

In addition to structural damage, one marijuana plant was scorched, Pieper said.

The farm’s owners, Ray and Wendy Hanson, were not present when the fire started and didn’t know what caused it, Pieper said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
