Forks woman dies in car crash

FORKS — A Forks woman died in a two-car wreck on state Highway 110 on Thursday morning after the Chevy Impala she was driving crossed the centerline at milepost 2 and hit a Dodge pickup, the State Patrol said.

Jeanetta R. Stoudmire, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. The driver of the pickup involved in the crash, James L. Richeson, 55, also of Forks, was not injured, they said.

The cause of the wreck was speed too fast for conditions, the State Patrol said.

Stoudmire was traveling eastbound on Highway 110 at 10:13 a.m. Thursday when she lost control of her sedan, according to the State Patrol. It crossed the centerline and struck Richeson’s pickup, which was traveling westbound. Her sedan came to rest blocking the eastbound lane while Richeson’s pickup came to rest on the westbound right shoulder.

Both vehicles were completely destroyed, the State Patrol said.

Stoudmire was not wearing a seatbelt. Richeson was, according to the State Patrol.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, troopers said.
