OLYMPIA — Area students attended a 4-day conference in Olympia as part of the 4-H Know Your Government program.

The annual program was attended by 10 local students and more than 250 high school students from across the state.

The conference theme was “Citizenship and Media” and included discussions on such topics as homelessness, the opioid crisis and immigration.

The students also visited the state capitol and spent time with Representative Mike Chapman.
