Tenebrae service scheduled

PORT ANGELES — A Tenebrae service is scheduled foe 7 p.m. Friday, April 7.

The service is in the sanctuary at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave.

The service features Holy Trinity’s chancel choir led by Noah Smith along with guest soloist Wendy Lee.

Lee will sing the world premiere of John 19 and Psalm 6, original works by local composer Jesse Ahmann.

She will also sing two of Bach’s passion arias.

The service is themed around Jesusʻ arrest, trial, suffering on the cross and ends with his death, attendees are encouraged to wear black.
