LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Richard Stephens received the Outstanding Costume Design Award from the American Association of Community Theaters.

Stephens was recognized for his work on the Port Angeles Community Players 2022 production “The Wickhams — Christmas at Pemberley.”

Stephens has been a costume designer for more than 35 years and has worked with the Community Players, Peninsula College and Sequim’s Olympic Theatre Arts.

He designed the costumes for the Community Players production “The Dresser” and Peninsula College’s production “Medea.”

Stephens also directed The Wickhams.
