PORT TOWNSEND — The annual Haunted Histories and Mysteries of Port Townsend begins Friday with an expanded collection of uncanny activities, including paranormal investigations, through Sunday.

Tickets are limited to the Port Townsend Main Street Program events that explore the unknown from downtown Port Townsend to Fort Worden State Park. They can be purchased through Eventbrite (search Haunted Histories and Mysteries of Port Townsend) or at ptmainstreet.org — click on events.

Some events — the Haunted Tours — were sold out as of Tuesday. Tickets were still available for the paranormal investigations, the psychic presentation by Ankhasha Amenti, and the “Let’s Talk Lighthouses” coffee talk at Point Hudson Lighthouse and tour at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Headquarters will be at the Cotton Building, 607 Water St., from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets also will be sold on a space-available basis at the Cotton Building.

This event is open to ticket-holders 16 and older except for those in bars, where guests must be 21 or older.

Events that still had tickets available as of Tuesday include:

• Boos & Spirits Mixer from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday is free drop-in event for ticket-holders 21 and older at the Old Whiskey Mill, 1038 Water St.; no-host bar.

• Paranormal Investigations at The James & Hastings Building, The Hastings Building, Officer’s Row the Steward’s Cottage and the School House at Fort Worden.

On Saturday, the investigations will be at Fort Worden State Park in Officer’s Row buildings and the Schoolhouse paired with Steward’s Cottage.

The paranormal investigations are led by Olympic Peninsula Paranormal Society (OPPS) and Western Washington Investigators of Paranormal Science (WWIPS), and the NW Paranormal Research Group. They will include a brief orientation on using the tools of the trade.

• Connecting with the Other Side with psychic medium Ankhasha Amenti will be at 4 p.m. Saturday only.

She will be at the Cotton Building and bring messages from loved ones to audience members as she demonstrates the psychometry, the process of touching an object and extracting information about the person connected to it.

Audience members who bring personal items that belonged to their loved ones may be chosen for a reading.

• Tell Your Tales at the Guardhouse will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Fort Worden State Park.

Ticket-holders 21 and older can share their personal encounters with the spirit world at Taps; no host bar.

• Let’s Talk About Lighthouses! will be a coffee talk and historic tour of the Point Wilson Lighthouse at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Point Wilson Lighthouse dates from 1914. Lighthouse volunteers will be on hand to tell its story.
