PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles man was listed in serious condition in intensive care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle late Saturday following a one-vehicle wreck on Blue Mountain Road late Friday night.

An update on the condition of Jacob Yaconetti-Leyrer was not available from Harborview Medical Center on Sunday.

Shortly before midnight Friday, a truck driven by Yaconetti-Leyrer, 45, was about a quarter-mile up Blue Mountain Road when it left the roadway to the right, traveled across a driveway and through a ditch and rolled an estimated three times, according to Clallam County Sheriff’s Sergeant John Hollis.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Firefighters shut down a portion of U.S. Highway 101 so a Life Flight helicopter could land and take Yaconetti-Leyrer to Harborview with head injuries, Hollis said.

A 17-year-old male passenger was OK, according to Hollis.
