PORT ANGELES — Neil Harrington will present “Voracious Invaders: Green Crabs in our Salish Sea” at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Harrington will be addressing a meeting of the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society in the Dungeness River Nature Center, 2099 W. Hendrickson Road.

Harrington will discuss the European green crab in the Northwest, its biology, potential ecological impacts and efforts to control its spread.

Harrington, an environmental biologist with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, works on algae blooms, shellfish safety, Olympia oyster restoration and invasive European green crabs.
