PORT HADLOCK — Firefighters from East Jefferson Fire Rescue extinguished a car fire on Highway 20 just north of Four Corners Road.

At 10:43 a.m. Tuesday, EJFR responded to a car on fire on the side of the road right before the intersection between Four Corners Road and Highway 20.

The vehicle was unoccupied and on the east side of the road. Traffic was blocked in both directions as the fire was extinguished, but the road was reopened before noon.

The cause of the fire is still unknown but is under investigation, EJFR said.
