PORT TOWNSEND — A collection of short theatrical monologues written by local women will take to the Key City Playhouse stage in “Here, There & Everywhere,” a Key City Public Theatre event this Saturday.

Local actors Erin Lamb, Karen Anderson and Jordan Carlson will bring these works to life in two performances: at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the playhouse, 419 Washington St.

Tickets are $15, with proceeds from the 4 p.m. performance to benefit Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build Project, an international program.

To reserve in advance, phone 360-385-5278 or visit keycitypublictheatre.org.

Any remaining seats will be sold at the door, and the lobby bar will open and sell snacks and drinks an hour before show time.

This seventh annual “Here, There & Everywhere” celebrates Swan Day, an international holiday designed to showcase women’s diversity and creativity.

And the monologues are diverse. They are:

■ “Letter to My Son” by Sheila Bender.

■ “Unusual Bedfellows” by Judith Glass Collins.

■ “Maratina in Italia” by Mara Lathrop.

■ “Ten Seconds” by Rebecca Redshaw.

■ “Cattle Queen of the Pacific Slope” by Deborah Wiese.

■ “This is My Only Time” by D.D. Wigley.

The 2015 format is different from past productions, said Lathrop, Key City’s literary manager.

“In previous years, “ Lathrop said, “we’ve included work by artists from as nearby as Polk Street in uptown [Port Townsend] and as far away as Afghanistan and India.

“This year, we’re featuring a program of writers who are all from ‘Here,’ Port Townsend and environs, whose stories speak to what’s universal no matter where anyone is from.”
