PORT ANGELES — Four players scored in double figures as the Port Angeles girls basketball team ripped North Kitsap in a battle for the Olympic League’s second seed Tuesday night.
The Roughriders (12-3, 13-5) pounded the Vikings (8-5, 9-6) 72-47 in a game that was close only in the first quarter.
“It was a good first quarter (19-18 Port Angeles) as both teams shot the ball well but our press started to take a toll in the second and third quarters,” Port Angeles coach Michael Poindexter said.
The Riders outscored the Vikings 37-17 in the second and third periods.
