PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College President Thomas Keegan, citing personnel confidentiality rules, refused to comment Thursday on February’s sudden departure of the head softball coach.
“The college practice is not to discuss personnel issues,” Keegan said by phone Thursday from Olympia, where he was attending an educators’ conference.
“We consider those a private matter.”
Softball coach Jill Stockdale-Holt left the position in mid-February, about a month before the season started.
Stockdale-Holt, who now lives in Longview, was also employed as the college’s physical education department chair, athletic facilities manager and recreation director.
She said Wednesday that she was fired Feb. 12 during a meeting with Athletic Director Rick Ross, Human Resources Director Bonnie Cauffman and Vice President of Student Services Maria Pe^pba.
