JOYCE — The Crescent High School Loggers helped to set a new state record in combined score for eight man football on Saturday with a total of 157 points.
Yet the Loggers came out on the short end of the stick, losing to Lummi 103-54 in a Pacific Coast-North Conference showdown.
“I can”t say enough for both teams offensive execution,” coach Steve Trubow said. “It was a lot of fun.”
Trubow said they call it “Lummi ball,” when you split three receivers on one side and one on the other and pass all day.
“We put up an air show today,” Trubow said.
With the combined passing yardage over 1,400 yards, neither team ran the ball once.
