Sandi Gunn of Sequim and Yen Chen of Port Angeles won pickleball gold at the Bremerton West Sound Senior Games held Friday and Saturday in the 65-69 women’s doubles. Gunn also won gold with Forrest Franz of Sequim in the 65-69 mixed doubles while Chen won Silver with Richard Reed of Port Angeles in the 60-64 mixed doubles.

SPORTS BRIEF: Port Angeles, Sequim pickleballers win gold

BREMERTON — Several Port Angeles and Sequim Pickleballers won their divisions at the Bremerton West Sound Senior Games Friday and Saturday.

Forrest Franz and Sandi Gunn, both of Sequim won gold in the 65-69 mixed doubles, while Gunn and Yen Chen of Port Angeles combined to win gold in the 65-69 women’s doubles.

Bob Sester of Sequim and Steve Bennett of Port Angeles won gold in the 70-74 men’s doubles, while Sester combined with Madalyn Frealy of South Kitsap to win gold n the 70-74 mixed doubles.

Bennett joined with Fran Myer of Lakewood to win silver in the 70-74 mixed doubles, while Richard Reed of Port Angeles and Chen won silver in the 60-64 mixed doubles.
