PREP SWIMMING: Roughriders, Wolves on All-League swim team

PORT ANGELES — A number of Port Angeles and Sequim boys’ swimmers were named to the Olympic League 2A All-League Swim Team.

The Port Townsend girls also won the league’s sportsmanship award during the fall girls swim and dive season.

Port Angeles All-Leaguers

• 200 yard medley: Alex Hertzog, Tristin Butler, Cameron Butler and Milo Atwater

• 200 freestyle: Cameron Butler, Karsten Hertzog

• 200 individual medley: Tristin Butler, Jonas Kongerslev

• 50 freestyle: Milo Atwater

• One-meter diving: David Jenson, Andrew Methner: Hollund Bailey

• 500 freestyle: Tristin Butler, Cameron Butler, Karsten Hertzog

• 100 Backstroke: Jonas Kongerslev, Alex Hertzog

• 400 freestyle relay: Atwater, Karsten Hertzog, Cameron Butler, Tristin Butler

Sequim All-Leaguers

• 200 medley: Jax Thaxton, Lian Payne, Christian Goodrich, Alex Berikoff

• One-meter diving: Mathew Craig

• 200 freestyle relay: Thaxton, Liam Payne, Christian Goodrich, Alex Berikoff

• 400 freestyle relay: Berikoff, Payne, Goodrich, Thaxton.

Kingston coach Mark Van Huis was voted coach of the year after leading the Buccaneers to the Class 2A state championship.

Olympic’s Paul Henderson was selected as the girls coach of the year.

Wings Up defeated the fall league champion I’d Hit That earlier this month 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 28-26) to win the Peninsula Volleyball League’s Winter League A Division championship at Peninsula College.
