MEN’S BASKETBALL BULLETIN: Peninsula College wins Northwest championship

KENNEWICK — The Peninsula College men’s basketball team made history tonight, winning the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges championship for the first time ever.

The Pirates defeated Pierce College of Tacoma 80-76 to win the title of the two-state conference.

PDN sportswriter Matt Schubert is at the scene of the tournament finale in Kennewick and is filing a report.
