LEFTIES: PA completes sweep of Kitsap

PORT ANGELES — The Lefties completed a two-game sweep of the Kitsap Bluejackets, coming from behind with two runs in the fourth and two in the fifth to win 6-4.

Isaac Olson went six innings, giving up seven hits, three earned runs, walking five and striking out five. Andrew Zmuda, Garrett Smith and Brandon Reynolds each pitched scoreless innings. The quartet of Lefties pitchers ended the game with 11 strikeouts.

Taylor Adams scored three runs in the game and walked four times. Sean Roby, Kevin Kendall and Nick Bellafronto all hit doubles, while Adams and Jake Portaro had RBIs. Kendall finished with two RBIs as his two-run double was the big blow.

Down 3-1, the Lefties began their comeback in the fourth when Adams and Kendall walked. Benny Kaleiwahea drove in Adams with a single and Kendall was later able to come in on an error.

In the fifth with the Lefties now down 4-3, Adams again began the rally with another walk. He went to third on a double from Bellafronto and Kendall drove them both in with a double to give the Lefties a 5-4 lead.

The Lefties took Monday off then are back at Civic Field at 6:35 p.m. today against the Wenatchee Applesox.
