KLAHHANE GYMNASTICS: Xcel Bronze second at Freedom Invite; Xcel Gold third

BREMERTON — The Klahhane Gymnastics Xcel teams had another packed weekend competing at the Freedom Invitational meet hosted by Cascade Elite Gymnastics West in Bremerton with the Bronze team taking second and the Gold team third.

The Freedom Invitational is an annual meet that honors and supports service members across all branches of the military.

In addition to the team finishes, the Bronze, Silver and Gold teams all earned several first-place finishes.

Sasha Gmazel, 8, with the Xcel Bronze team, was first in the all-around with a cumulative score of 35.15. She was also first in the floor exercise (8.7) and first on the beam (8.9).

Other Xcel Bronze results include:

Lucy Monaghan, 8, second all-around (36.15), second on the beam (9.15) and first on the floor (9.3).

Adrie McGuire, 9, third all-around (36.85), first on the beam (9.35) and first on the floor (9.3).

Reagan Haguewood, 8, fourth all-around (36.1), second on the bars (9.2) and third on the beam (9.0).

Penny Goodwin, 9, sixth in the all-around (35.35) and third on the floor (9.1).

Kinley Matthews, 9, sixth all-around (35.35) and fourth on the floor (9.05).

Addie Brown, 9, eighth all-around (35.3), fourth on the vault (9.2) and fourth on the bars (9.05).

Nora Pecoraro, 8, ninth all-around (35.0) and sixth on the beam (8.55).

Xcel Silver results:

Zayleigh McCullem, 8, third all-around (37.0) and first on the vault (9.6).

Laguoia DePiro, 8, sixth all-around (36.45) and sixth on the vault (9.1).

Xcel Gold results include:

Lorelei Sanders, 12, second all-around (35.57) and second on the floor (9.15).

Raynee Ciarlo, 13, third all-around (36.225) and second on the vault (9.125).

Emily Bair, 13, fourth all-around (35.65) and second on the beam (9.25).

Abi Odland, 12, fourth all-around (35.425) and first on the bars (9.5).

Harper Waterkotte, 12, fourth all-around (35.575) and second on the floor (9.225).

Lainey DePiro, 13, all-around of 35.275, third on the bars (9.25) and second on the floor (9.425).

Xcel Platinum results include:

Carly Mae Riggs, 9, third all-around (35.25) and second on the vault (8.775).

Elyse Brown, 13, fifth all-around (35.975) and third on the floor (9.275).
