Twisters gymnasts shine at state meet

PORT HADLOCK — Twisters Gymnastics capped a successful season with 25 gymnasts qualifying for the Washington State Championships and bringing home 39 medals.

Twisters competed against more than 70 teams from around the state and also went head-to-head at a regional competition with athletes from 34 teams from Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana and Oregon.

Level 3 gymnast Paisley Bergen clinched first place in the All-Around to win the state championship. Bergen was seventh in vault, second in bars and third in the floor excercise.

• Kyla Sanders, Level 3: First on beam, third on floor exercise, seventh on bars and third all-around.

• Addyson Reid, Level 8: Second on bars, fourth on vault, sixth on all-around.

• Lola Borrayo, Xcel Bronze: Fourth on vault, sixth on beam, seventh on bars and seventh all-around.

• Reilly Goss, Level 6: Sixth on bars, beam and floor. Eighth in all-around.

• Lorelei Chapman, Level 3: Fifth on beam, sixth on floor, eighth on vault and eighth all-around.

• Emmeline Freund, Xcel Gold: Fourth on bars, sixth on beam, 10th on floor and eighth all-around.

• Tia York, Xcel Gold: Fifth on bars, sixth on beam, 10th on floor exercise, eighth all-around.

• Claire Harrison, Xcel Gold: Seventh in beam, ninth on floor exercise and 10th All-Around.

Arden Moore, Level 8: Sixth on vault, ninth on bars.

Adeline Davis, Level 3: Ninth on vault.

• Addy Plotner, Xcel Gold: fourth in beam, eighth on vault.

• Addy Davis, Xcel Gold: Third in Floor exercise.

Regional Athlete Highlights:

• Addyson Reid, Level 8: Third in bars, ninth in vault.
