GYMNASTICS: Klahhane gymnasts shine at Realm Classic

EVERETT — The Klahhane Gymnastics Xcel Team competed at the Realm Classic meet hosted by Coastal Realm Gymnastics last weekend. The athletes delivered outstanding performances, earning individual event wins, high scores and new personal bests.

Four of the six Xcel Gold gymnasts competed, all earning 9.0 or better in the floor exercise.

Additional highlights include Klahhane’s reigning state Xcel Platinum Floor champion, Elyse Brown, dominating in the floor exercise, earning a score of 9.55 and a first-place medal. Xcel Gold’s Raynee Ciarlo placed first on the bars with a 9.35 and Xcel Bronze’s Lucy Monaghan was first on the beam with a score of 9.25.

Xcel Bronze full results include:

• Lucy Monaghan: 9.25 on the beam, first; 9.35 on the vault, second; 9.2 on the bars, fourth; 9.3 on the floor, third; second all-around, 37.1.

• Penny Goodwin: 9.35 on the floor, second; 9.1 on the bars, fifth; sixth all-around, 36.95.

• Kinley Matthews: 9.35 on the vault, third; 9.15 on the bars, sixth; 9.1 on the beam, fifth; 9.4 on the floor, second; fourth all-around, 37.0.

• Reagan Haguewood: 9.1 on the vault, sixth; 9.0 on the bars, seventh; eighth all-around, 35.7.

• Sasha Gmazel: 8.7 on the floor, first; 9.0 on the vault, sixth; 14th all-around, 34.95.

• Nora Pecoraro: 9.0 on the vault, seventh; 9.05 on the beam, sixth; 9.2 on the floor, fifth; 11th all-around, 35.45.

• Addie Brown: 9.0 on the vault, seventh; 9.05 on the beam, sixth; eighth all-around, 35.75.

Xcel Silver full results:

• Laqouia DePiro: 9.4 on the bars, sixth, 9.15 on the floor, eighth, 12th all-around, 35.95.

Xcel Gold full results:

• Raynee Ciarlo: 9.35 on the bars, first; 9.05 on the vault, second; 9.025 on the floor, fifth, second all-around, 36.225.

• Emily Bair: 9.225 on the floor, second; 9.225 on the floor, second; 8.887 on the vault, third; fifth all-around, 35.8.

• Lorelei Sanders: 9.15 on the bars, third; 9.075 on the floor, seventh; seventh all-around, 35.4.

• Lainey DePiro: 9.275 on the floor, second; 9.1 on the bars, sixth; fifth all-around, 35.85.

• Carly Mae Riggs: 9.125 on the beam, third; 9.175 on the floor, fourth; third all-around, 35.6.
