A pitch, hit and run competition was held Monday at Civic Field in Port Angeles hosted by the Port Angeles Lefties. CIVIC FIELD: Hit, pitch and run winners announced

PORT ANGELES — More than 50 kids, some of them coming from as far away as Seattle, participated in a hit, pitch and run competition at Civic Field on Monday night.

The event for kids ages 7 to 14 was hosted by the Port Angeles Lefties, who had a day off between games. The winners were announced at the Lefties game Tuesday night against the Redmond Dudes. Winners get the chance to move on to state and regional competitions.

The baseball winners were:

7-8U — Skyler Neitzel, 960 points.

9-10U — Geoffrey Sullivan, 1,005 points.

11-12U — Colby Herejsi, 880 points.

13-14U — Jacob Kimzey, 1,150 points.

Softball winners were:

7-8U — Ellie Proiette, 660 points.

9-10U — Legacy Rowland, 640 points.

11-12Y — Teyah Elofson-Cross, 940 points.
