Chipotle benefit Saturday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for Sequim Junior Soccer

Sequim youth indoor soccer leagues forming

SEQUIM — Registration is open for Sequim Junior Soccer’s coed youth indoor soccer leagues.

The leagues’ eight-week seasons will begin play Jan. 11 and continue through March 1.

All sessions will be held at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.

Age groups available include U8-10 for $40, and U11-13, U14-15 and U18 for $50.

Wolves host dinner

SEQUIM — Registration is underway for the second annual Sequim High School boys basketball Swinging into the Season golf tournament, planned Nov. 22 at The Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course.

The four-player scramble format event will tee off at 10 a.m. and feature basketball-themed holes.

Examples include: a golf ball cannon shot, a pop-a-shot challenge with a Wolves player, a slam dunk tank for players and coaches.

A car donated by Rocha Auto Sales will be up for grabs as a hole-in-one prize.

The cost is $85 for the public, $50 for Cedars members.

The tournament will be held before Sequim’s third annual Meet the Team Auction and Dinner at 7 Cedars Casino.

Golf and dinner together are $130, a $15 savings.

Chipotle fundraiser

SEQUIM — Sequim Junior Soccer will hold a Chipotle takeover fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Port Angeles Chipotle, 2021 B E. First St.

Order online at chipotle.com for pickup using the code “MPN78VX.”

A total of 25 percent of event sales will be donated to Sequim Junior Soccer.

The program is beginning to raise funds for a portable lighting system and a new equipment shed.

Evaluations in Sequim

SEQUIM — Sequim Youth Basketball will hold evaluations for its Rec League for boys and girls in grades K-4 on Saturday at Sequim Middle School.

Kids in grades K-2 will be evaluated from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., with third- and fourth-graders from 10 a.m. to noon.
