Holiday weekend sporting events on West End
FORKS — Forks’ 4th of July Fun Run, a 1-mile or 5-or-10-kilometer event, will be held Saturday morning.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. in the parking lot behind Mocha Motion on Forks Avenue.
Entry fees are $10 and all proceeds will go to United Way of Clallam County.
The run is sponsored by the Forks Community Hospital’s United Way Committee.
Paddle Battle
The fifth annual Paddle Battle pickleball tournament will be held Saturday at the Tillicum Park pickleball courts with a 10 a.m. start time.
The tournament is 2-on-2 with a $25 entry fee per team.

Forks football camp
FORKS — Seattle Seahawks defensive and special teams coach Neiko Thorpe will hold the second annual EZZZ Youth Football Camp at Spartan Stadium in Forks on Saturdeay, with former Forks standout Luke Dahlgren joining him.
Dahlgren is a graduate student offensive lineman for the Eastern Washington Eagles.
Thorpe was a special teams standout and a defensive back for the Seahawks, where he was named captain.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. To secure a spot, people can go to https://tinyurl.com/EZZZCamp. The cost is $140, which includes lunch and a T-shirt. There are group and sibling discounts available.
JeffCo fall youth soccer
PORT TOWNSEND — Early registration for Jefferson County Parks and Recreation’s fall coed soccer leagues provides a discount in fees.
Practices will begin in mid-August. League games will be played on Sundays starting at 1 p.m. at H.J. Carroll Park and Irondale Park beginning Sept. 7 and running through the end of October.
Age groups are pre-Kinder, first and second, third and fourth, and fifth through seventh.
Registration is $65 through July 18, $75 through Aug. 3 and $85 for late registration after Aug. 4. The fee includes a T-shirt, game equipment, field prep and maintenance, and referees for grades three and older.
Coaches are needed.
