AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: PVL B finals to be held next week

PORT ANGELES — The Vengeance, Steim Family Dentistry, Elwha Food & Fuel and 7 Cedars Casino finished in that order in the Peninsula Volleyball League’s B Division regular season and all four teams advanced through the first round of the playoffs with wins Tuesday night.

The Vengeance stopped No Diggity 2-0 (25-11, 25-13), Steim rolled past Notorius DIG 2-0 (25-14, 25-19), Elwha blocked Chewblocka 2-0 (25-16, 25-18) and 7 Cedars made bacon out of the Whistle Pigs, winning 2-0 (25-19, 25-18).

In the finals next Tuesday at Peninsula College, The Vengeance will tackle 7 Cedars and Steim Family Dentistry will take on Elwha Food & Fuel, with both matches beginning at 7:15 p.m. The winners will play at 8:15 p.m. for the B Division championship.

The PVL A Division concludes regular season play Thursday with playoffs set for next Wednesday.
