AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Port Townsend’s Franklin takes first; Illusion U13 softball second at winter tourney

PT’s Franklin takes first

LAKEWOOD — Port Townsend wrestler Brenna Franklin took first place at 170 pounds at the Lipstick Open at Lakes High School this weekend.

Also at Lakes High School on Saturday, Port Townsend’s Dylan Tracer took third place at 182 pounds at the End of Days boys’ wrestling tournament.

Port Townsend will next wrestle Wednesday in the Redhawks’ final home dual of the year against Cascade Christian and Bellevue Christian. The meet will begin at 6:15 p.m.
