Republican caucuses Saturday in Jefferson County

Attendees will elect county convention delegates

PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County Republicans will meet Saturday at five locations to select delegates to the county convention and cast a straw vote for candidates for governor.

The caucuses, which are in preparation for the presidential election, start at 9:45 a.m. throughout the county, except in the Forks area, said organizer Lynn Hisey.

Republican voters who live in Port Townsend, as well as precincts 104-Cape George, 105-Discovery Bay and 106-North Jacob, will meet in the Marina Room (attached on the west side of the Shanghai Restaurant) in the Point Hudson Area at 103 Hudson St., Port Townsend.

Republican voters who reside in Irondale, Port Hadlock, Chimacum, Kala Point, Four Corners and Woodlands as well as precinct 107-South Jacob will meet at the Kala Point Clubhouse at 310 Sailview Dr. Participants should dial #200 at the gate box and state their names to have the gate opened. Take the first right on Sailview Drive after entering and the clubhouse will be on the right.

Republican voters who live in Port Ludlow Precincts 500-504, as well as precincts 401-Nordland, will meet at the Ludlow Beach Club, 121 Marina View Drive, Port Ludlow.

Republican voters who reside in precincts 101-Gardiner, 102-Port Discovery, 103-Crocker, 200-Coyle, 201-Quilcene, 204-Brinnon, 302-Center I, 308-Center II as well as Ludlow Precinct 505 will meet at the Quilcene Community Center at 294952 Us-101, Quilcene.

Republican voters who live in Jefferson County Forks area precincts 600-Hoh and 601-Queets will meet in conjunction with the Forks Clallam County Republicans at the Forks Athletic & Aquatic Club, 91 Maple Ave. Doors in Forks will open at 8:30 a.m.

The county convention will be March 14.

Interested voters may pre-register and verify their caucus location at www.wsrp.org/caucus or register at the door of their appropriate caucus locations.
