General election voter deadlines approaching

Several voter registration deadlines are quickly approaching for area residents looking to cast a ballot in the 2018 general election Nov. 6.

Clallam and Jefferson county residents have until Monday, Oct. 8 to register by mail or online, transfer their voter registration from another Washington county or update their current voter registration.

Those registering online can do so through MyVote at www.myvote.wa.gov.

Registered voters may also update their voter information through that website, by contacting Clallam County Elections at 360-417-2221 or elections@co.clallam.wa.us, or Jefferson County Elections at 360-385-9119 or elections@co.Jefferson.wa.us.

Ballots for the 2018 general election will be mailed to registered voters Oct. 17.

New Washington state voters have until Oct. 29 to register in person at the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, or at the Jefferson County Auditor’s Office at the Jefferson County Courthouse at 1820 Jefferson St.

A printed statewide voters’ pamphlet will be mailed to all Washington state residences Saturday through Saturday, Oct. 13.

Online voters’ guides are available at www. clallam.net/elections. and co.jefferson.wa.us/1266/Elections.
