10 more file for Jefferson County elected positions

PORT TOWNSEND — Day two of filing week saw 10 additional candidates add their names to the growing list of candidates who have filed with the Jefferson County elections office.

Chimacum School District No. 49 has two candidates: Mickey Nagy for the District 2 seat to fill an unexpired term, who filed Monday, will be challenged by Mike Aman, and Michael Raymond is running for Position 4, a seat he was appointed to earlier this year.

In the Brinnon School District, Mary Frickett, incumbent in at-large Position 1 has filed for reelection.

In the Brinnon Water District, incumbent Fred Stern has filed for reelection for the Position 1 seat on the commission.

In the Quilcene School District, Paul Mahan — who has served in Position 4 — has filed for at-large Position 5 to fill a two-year unexpired term and Trisha Freiber — who has served in Position 5 — has filed for the at-large Position 1 seat.

In the Quilcene Fire District, incumbent Art Frank has filed for reelection to the Position 1 seat on the commission.

In the Brinnon Park & Recreation District, two incumbents filed for reelection: Diane L. Coleman for the District 4 seat and Pam Barnet for the Position 5 seat.

In the Coyle-Thorndyke Park and Recreation District, incumbent Gary Elmer has filed for reelection to the Position 1 seat.

The candidate filing period ends at the end of the day Friday.

The general election is Nov. 5. The primary election is Aug. 6.
