PORT ANGELES — Westbound U.S. Highway 101 was partially blocked east of Port Angeles briefly after a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon, according to emergency officials.
Chief Sam Phillips, of Clallam County Fire District No. 2, said paramedics were called to a wreck near the Walmart at 3411 E. Kolonels Way involving two or three vehicles at about 4:10 p.m.
Phillips said as of about 4:25 p.m., the ambulances that had responded were leaving the scene without transporting anyone to the hospital.
The state Department of Transportation issued a collision alert at Highway 101 and Masters Road, which borders the east side of the Walmart store, at 4:14 p.m. The road was clear by 4:42 p.m.
