PORT TOWNSEND –The turnout of about 20,000 people Friday and Saturday to the Wooden Boat Festival exceeded Wooden Boat Festival organizers’ expectations.
“We had an outstanding turnout,” festival coordinator Brian Treece said. “I would say that Friday and Saturday are as big as we’ve ever had.”
The festival, which continues today, usually draws about 25,000 people over three days.
