Winter finally arrives on North Olympic Peninsula

More than 2 inches of snow blanketed the little town of Joyce on Saturday, limiting visibility and making roads treacherous.

Other areas in Jefferson and Clallam counties got snow, too, but not as much as Joyce and other points west of Port Angeles.

Flurries were reported along state Highway 104 in Jefferson and Kitsap counties — and in Port Hadlock.

At least one crash was reported near the Hood Canal Bridge, but Washington State Patrol troopers couldn’t say if the wreck was weather-related.
