PORT ANGELES — A day after Louise Stanton-Masten was airlifted from Rialto Beach due to injuries from a fall, doctors surgically set her smashed elbow Wednesday.
Stanton-Masten, 48, of Lynnwood fell during a hike at Cape Johnson. She smashed her elbow and sustained minor head injuries. Stanton-Masten is the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce director.
From her hospital bed at Olympic Medical Center, she said doctors used metal plates and pins to reset her elbow.
Contrary to information released Tuesday, Stanton-Masten said the group was on the beach when she slipped — she did not fall from the surrounding cliffs.
