A $1.6 million federal grant will allow completion of a 16-mile section of the Olympic Discovery Trail between Lake Crescent and Cooper Ranch Road, Clallam County commissioners were told Monday.
The commissioners must hold a public hearing to add the project to the county’s Six-Year Road Plan to be able to spend the money, County Public Works Director Rich James said.
The commissioners next week are expected to set a public hearing for mid-July.
