A recognition celebration for the Quillayute River Coast Guard Station will be held June 26.
The event will begin at noon at the A-Ka-Lat Center in LaPush.
The Forks Chamber of Commerce, the Quileute tribe and the city of Forks will proclaim the event as their second annual Appreciation Day for the Coast Guard.
A traditionally prepared salmon dinner will honor the station personnel and their families. The public is invited to attend. People who have served or retired from Coast Guard duty are also encouraged.
Commemorative T-shirts are available at the event or at the Forks Chamber of Commerce.
