OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — The popular Marymere Falls trail above Lake Crescent will undergo the first phase of a major repair project during the next several months.
The park trail crew will work extensively on the final quarter-mile of trail, rebuilding more than 300 feet as well as the upper falls viewing platform, park spokeswoman Barb Maynes said Thursday.
Hikers will likely encounter trail crew and revegetation workers in the area during the next several weeks, Maynes said.
The trail to the falls will remain open, but the upper viewing platform and access trail will be closed during part of the rebuilding process.
The lower viewing platform will remain open.
