SEQUIM — The owner of the Sequim Gym will discuss Active Isolated Stretching at a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10.

The forum will be at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., in Sequim.

Kevin Pedrey, LMT, CCT, CFT, says that the system can improve flexibility and help recovery from injuries, reducing pain in the back, hip and other areas.

As a whole-body stretching system, it can prevent injury, improve performance and provide the body with better circulation and balance, Pedrey says.

Pedrey graduated from the Humanities School of Massage in Pinellas Park, Fla., where his studies included trigger point therapy, myofacial release, muscle energy techniques and neuro-kinetic therapy.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic, which provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members.

More than 70 volunteers — including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons — support the clinic.

It operates on private and public donations.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5.

Individuals interested in supporting the clinic can call 360-582-0218.
