SEQUIM — Handmade gifts — from driftwood art to carved gourds — along with artists ready to discuss their techniques await at Saturday’s Pacific Northwest Wood Artisans show and sale.
Admission is free to the event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pioneer Park clubhouse, 387 E. Washington St.
Wood carving, wood turning, intarsia and pyrography are among the art forms to go on display, while featured artist Gordon Day shows his carvings and Gary Cummins demonstrates the wood-art cycle.
A silent auction of art and tools will be open until 2 p.m.
This is the only show the Pacific Northwest Wood Artisans sponsor each year. The organization meets each second Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., and welcomes newcomers.
