PORT TOWNSEND — The newly formed Wintertime Singers will present a concert of traditional Christmas favorites at Grace Lutheran Church, 1120 Walker St., at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
A suggested donation is $5 each at the door.
Directed by Colleen Johnson and accompanied by Helen Lauritzen, the Wintertime Singers include members of the Summertime Singers, Rainshadow, the Community Chorus and singers from local church choirs.
The program consists of a medley of Vaughan Williams’ English carols, a Southern Harmony setting of “O Little Town of Bethlehem” accompanied by Victoria Poling on violin, an alternative melody of “Silent Night,” a rhythmic version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and a gospel rendition of “A Little Light Was Born.”
