“Tonight” signifies Friday, June 19.
COYLE — Dave Nachmanoff, a troubadour and member of the North American Traveling Musicians Union Local 1000, is making his way to the North Olympic Peninsula for a show tonight at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center.
Along with bassist Mike Lindauer, Nachmanoff will bring his voice and guitar to the venue at 7:30 p.m. for another in the Concerts in the Woods series. That means admission is by donation, listeners of all ages are invited and coffee and cookies are served at intermission.
A songwriter who grew up in the 1960s and ’70s with Pete Seeger and the Kingston Trio as his early inspirations, Nachmanoff is also a fan of ’80s new wave and Celtic folk-rock a la Fairport Convention.
He’ll mix it all together, along with his own flavor tonight, drawing from albums such as 2011’s “Step Up” “Time Before the Fall” from 2006 and 2002’s “Holy Smokes! Ice Cream for Breakfast.”
Nachmanoff is in this part of the world while touring with Al Stewart, who has a concert Sunday at the Historic Everett Theatre.
With Stewart and other performers, Nachmanoff has played stages from the Edmonton, Alberta, Folk Festival to England’s Glastonbury Festival.
