WEEKEND: Port Townsend galleries open their doors for monthly art walk

PORT TOWNSEND — The free Port Townsend Gallery Walk will unfold again this Saturday, bringing free art displays, hors d’oeuvres, drinks and an hour of storytelling to downtown venues.

Here’s a sketch of the attractions downtown, with receptions from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday unless otherwise noted.

■ Gallery Nine, 1012 Water St., highlights photographer Nancy Cherry Eifert and woodworker Robin McKann this month.

Eifert reflects her love of wildlife in her photos of otters, eagles, vine maples and more in the Olympics and Cascades, while Mc-Kann is showing two new harp tables from his line of functional woodwork.

■ PT Shorts, Key City Public Theatre’s literary reading series, will present Native American folk tales at 7:30 p.m. in the Pope Marine Building, 603 Water St.

Actors taking part in the free hour-long reading include Zach NeSmith, Erin Lamb, Theresa Chedoen and Michele Stay.

■ The Port Townsend Gallery, 715 Water St., features Andrew Sheldon’s depictions of the local community in acrylic paint alongside Anne Holman’s canvases.

Among her works on display are paintings inspired by a four-day camping trip in the

North Cascades.

Both artists will be on hand Saturday evening.

■ The Simon Mace Gallery, 236 Taylor St., presents Victor Sandblom’s “Wind on the Sea, Tracks in the Mud” series of paintings and Zanetka Kralova Gawronski’s plaster “Tomato People” sculptures throughout November.
