WEEKEND-PLUS: Ex-Brothers Four artist to give two concerts in Jefferson County on Saturday and Tuesday

Singer/songwriter and storyteller Mark Pearson will perform two times this week — once in Coyle and once in Port Townsend.

Pearson’s Coyle performance is at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

He is the host of the “Concerts in the Woods” series.

His Port Townsend performance hits the Seaport Landing stage, 1201 Hancock St., from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

All ages are welcome to both shows.

Admission to the Coyle performance is by donation and is free for the Port Townsend show.

Pearson got his professional start with The Brothers Four in 1969. He began singing with Mike McCoy when they met at the University of Washington in 1965.

Through the years, Pearson has continued to develop an individual “campfire” style both as a singer and as a songwriter.

His latest solo project, “Following the Light,” contains 23 original songs and illuminates both his vision and voice.
