QUILCENE — The Olympic Music Festival presents the eighth weekend of its 31st season with violinist Cindy Wu, violist Alan Iglitzin and cellist Jennifer Culp on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Three Beethoven string trios will be performed: String Trio in C minor, Op. 9 No. 2, String Trio in G major Op. 9 No. 1, and String Trio in E-flat major Op. 3.
“We are thrilled to present these jewels of the chamber music repertoire,” said Alan Iglitzin, executive director of the Festival.
“Beethoven’s string trios are seldom heard, and this is a rare opportunity for our audience to hear this phenomenal set of Beethoven’s early works.”
Violinist Cindy Wu, who returns for her third season at the Olympic Music Festival, enjoys a versatile career as a soloist and chamber music musician throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Cellist Jennifer Culp is well-known to festival audiences as a former member of the Philadelphia String Quartet, Dunsmire Piano Quartet and Kronos Quartet.
The Olympic Music Festival is located on a 55-acre farm 18 miles south of Port Townsend.
Patrons can choose to sit inside the barn or outside on the lawn where the concert is broadcast.
Ticket prices range from $18 to $33 and may be purchased by phone at 360-732-4800 or online at www.olympicmusicfestival.org.
