OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Lake Crescent Lodge will host Franklin and Theodore’s Teddy Bear Tea at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Reservations are required for the tea, which costs $25 for one child and one adult. Admission for each additional child is $8. For each additional adult, it is $18.
The lodge is on Lake Crescent about 18 miles west of Port Angeles off U.S. Highway 101.
Weekly tea parties
At the special holiday tea parties, hosted every Saturday through Dec. 27, guests can learn the history of the teddy bear and the two presidents who influenced Olympic National Park.
They also can have photos taken with the teddy bears, Franklin and Theodore.
This is the second year the lodge has remained open during winter months.
The lodge used to close from the end of October until late April or the beginning of May. Now, the lodge is open through New Year’s Day.
Locals-only rate
That includes the Roosevelt fireplace cabins, restaurant, gift shop, the lobby and glassed-in porch. Canoe rentals are closed for the season.
