NOTE: “Today” and “tonight” refer to Friday, Oct. 30.

Halloween brings out the fierce on the Peninsula: the musicians, the DJs and the wildly costumed dancers.

Here’s a cross-section of opportunities for spooky frolic tonight and Saturday.

■ Top Shelf, featuring Bill, Rudy and Ron plus guest Steve Andreason, dish out the classic rock and dance music tonight at the Eagles lodge, 2843 E. Myrtle St., Port Angeles.

Admission is $5 for the Halloween costume bash from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

■   The Crocs, featuring Mike Pace and Jason Mogi, will slide into Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., Port Angeles, for some rock and blues tonight. This Halloween warmup will go from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. for a $3 cover charge.

■   Kevin Mason and his band plus DJ Silace will bring the rock, soul, R & B and Motown to Port Townsend’s Key City Playhouse party Saturday night. The stage will be transformed into a dance floor for this shindig featuring a costume contest, door prizes and drink specials.

Festivities roll from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. with Mason’s band and continue from 10 p.m. until midnight with DJ Silace, all for $8 at the door.

For more information about this event at the playhouse, 419 Washington St., Port Townsend, visit keycitypublictheatre.org or phone 360-385-5278.

■ Joy in Mudville, those purveyors of rocking blues, funk and beyond, will host the Halloween party at Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave., Port Angeles, at 9 p.m. Saturday. There’s no cover charge but there is a costume competition with prizes: A $50 Barhop tab for first place and a $25 tab for second place.

For more information about the band, see deadwoodrevival.com and to reach Barhop, phone 360-797-1818.

■ Fat Chance is primed to play dance-driving rock’n’roll at the Elks Naval Lodge ballroom, 131 E. First St., Port Angeles, this Saturday night. Admission is $5 to this 21-and-older event; doors will open at 8 p.m. for the dance and costume contest.

■   DJ Lightray, known to many as Rachael of the Nasty Habits band, will mix the alternative-1980s-synth-goth-EDM for an urban dance party Saturday night at Studio Bob, 118½ E. Front St., Port Angeles.

This bash for the 18-and-older crowd will also feature platform dancers and other entertainment from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Admission is $10 including snacks, while the first 50 dancers in the door will receive a free drink; the Loom bar, adjacent to the dance space, will have wine, beer and other beverages.

The Hooky’s and Perfect By Tomorrow will pool their rock, reggae and hip-hop at the Metta Room, 132 E. Front St., at 9 p.m. Saturday. Cover charge is $10 while the costume contest promises $200 in prizes.
