PORT TOWNSEND — A traditional eight-course Chinese dinner will benefit the Jefferson County Community Foundation’s Fund for Women and Girls on Saturday.
The “Year of the Sheep” feast will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1020 Jefferson St., at 7 p.m.
The cost is $75 per person.
The feast will be prepared by Alice Hayes, a longtime fund supporter, cooking with Patti Reynolds, Phil Walkdean, Theresa Saludo and Ben and Mary Massie.
Dinner menu
The menu includes hand-shredded chicken, seafood tofu and mushroom soup, along with braised pork with vegetables, sauteed beef with garlic, peppers and black bean sauce, Chinese vegetables and mushrooms, braised Chinese vinaigrette baby back ribs with vegetables, fried rice with Chinese sausage and dessert.
Each guest will leave with chopsticks and a gift made and donated by artist David Haakenson from DoeRun Studios in Quilcene.
All proceeds go to the Fund for Women and Girls; $40 of the donation is tax-deductible.
