PORT TOWNSEND — Singer Robin Bessier and her band Solatti (pronounced soul-la-TEA) will bring their Latin, swing, pop and R&B tunes to the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St., tonight.

The nonprofit Olympic Peninsula Dance Club invites dancers of all ages and levels to this, the last dance of the season.

Admission is $10.

Janice Eklund will start things off with a dance lesson in what she calls “the other nightclub two-step” at 7 p.m. No partners nor previous experience are needed to join in.

Then the band — featuring Bessier; guest Rex Rice on trombone; Kurt Festinger on saxophone, clarinet and flute; George Radebaugh on piano; Ted Enderle on bass; and Tom Svornich on drums — will step up at 8 p.m. and play until about 10:30 p.m.

“Sollati packs a big-band sound into their small combo, playing the best dance music culled from the past 90 years,” Bessier promised, adding that her set list ranges from “Choo Choo Ch’Boogie” and “Jump, Jive and Wail” to “Let’s Stay Together” and “Hit the Road, Jack.”
