WEEKEND: ‘Art Convergence’ exhibited at Port Angeles Fine Arts Center

PORT ANGELES — “Art Convergence,” a showcase of sculpture, photography, paintings and mixed media by artists from all over the Pacific Northwest, awaits at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Admission is free to the show, which stars Sam Calhoun’s “Compartment Heart” sculpture; Tammy Hall’s “Chicken of the Sea” driftwood creation; and Robert McCormack’s “Fat Tuesday,” which are among the award winners.

“Art Convergence” will stay on display through Jan. 9 in the fine arts center’s indoor gallery.

That’s closed today but will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; those are its regular hours Thursdays through Sunday — except this coming Thursday, Jan. 1.

Meanwhile Webster’s Woods, the 5-acre art park surrounding the center, is open from dawn till dusk every day of the year, also with free admission.

To find out more about the city’s nonprofit art museum, visit www.PAFAC.org or phone 360-457-3532.
