PORT ANGELES — The Washington Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is looking for volunteers to help plan its 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Port Angeles.
The annual fundraiser is scheduled for Oct. 5 at City Pier.
Planning Committee members are needed to help with local recruitment, marketing and logistic planning.
The association estimates that volunteers can expect to spend two to four hours per month on the project.
There will also be opportunities to help out on the day of the event.
According to a press release, the 2018 walk had more than 140 participants and raised more than $26,000.
Volunteers should contact event coordinator Kimber Behrends by calling 206-363-5500 or emailing kibehrends@alz.org.
