Volunteers are sought for dozens of vacancies on Clallam boards

PORT ANGELES — Clallam County is seeking volunteers to fill 79 vacancies on 23 advisory boards and committees.

Applications are due by the close of business Friday.

Vacancies exist on the Animal Issues Advisory Committee (6 vacancies), Board of Health (1), Boundary Review Board (2), Building Code Board of Appeals (3), Carlsborg Community Advisory Council (4), Chemical Dependency/Mental Health Program Fund Advisory Board (1), Clallam Bay/Sekiu Community Action Team (2), Clallam Bay/Sekiu Sewer Advisory Committee (1), Crescent Community Advisory Council (2), Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee (4), Fair Advisory Board (3), Heritage Advisory Board (3), Homelessness Task Force (9), Lake Sutherland Steering Committee (9), Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (2), Marine Resource Committee (3), North Olympic Library System (2), North Pacific Coast Marine Resources (2), Park and Recreation Advisory Board (2), Peninsula Housing Authority (1), Permit Advisory Board (6), Planning Commission (3) and Sheriff’s Citizens Advisory Committee (8).

To apply for a spot on an advisory board, phone the Clallam County commissioners’ office at 360-417-2233; visit their office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.; or download an application from the county website.

Current members with expiring terms who wish to retain their position are asked to provide a written statement by mail, facsimile at 360-417-2493 or email to tholden@co.clallam.wa.us.
